Vice-Dade Fire Rescue
The Vice-Dade Fire Rescue Department (VDFR) was established in 1935. VDFR provides fire protection and emergency medical services to the unincorporated parts of Vice-Dade County, Florida along with 30 municiplaities located within the county. In all the department is responsible for 1,883 square miles (4,880 km) of land.
We have 68 fire-rescue stations within unincorporated Vice-Dade County and serve 30 municipalities, including Vice City. We have response units dedicated to air rescue service, ocean rescue, fire and rescue operations, marine, hazardous materials (HazMat), urban search and rescue (USAR), and technical rescue.
Our rescue services include aero-medical transport to trauma centers and other medical facilities. Our air rescue helicopters are also used to perform search and rescue missions, and firefighting and reconnaissance operations involving large incidents, such as wildfires and major fires.
We also have full-time and part-time professional lifeguards protecting Ocean and Washington beaches.
We support disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation needs. We operate the County's Emergency Operation Center (EOC) which coordinates emergency response and recovery plans, decisions, and operations in order to maximize the use of resources within Vice-Dade County.
(( The Vice-Dade Fire Rescue Department aims to accurately replicate its real-life counterpart: the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department. Reasonable adjustments have been made in places to better suit the approach the faction takes to the server.
